3M FR-40 Cartridge 453-03-03R06 is NIOSH-approved for use in many toxic industrial environments with the Rapid Response Powered Air Purifying Respirator System with 3M 6000 series tight-fitting face mask and with Breathe Easy powered air purifying respirators. FR-40 cartridges from 3M are NIOSH-approved for protection from organic vapors, acid gases (Sulfur Dioxide, Chlorine and Hydrogen Chloride), Ammonia, Phosphine, o-Chlorobenzylidene Malononitrile (CS), Chloroacetophenone (CN) and particulates. These 3M gas mask cartridges can also filter a wide range of chemical warfare agents such as Nerve, Mustard, Tear and Blood agents; Chlorine, Phosgene, Chloropicrin, and Diphenylchloroarsine.
